Three travel-related tidbits to absorb your thoughts in case you need a mental vacation from reality this weekend.

1.  I came across the best site yesterday:   BiblioTravel.  Type in a place, and you are provided with a list of books set in that location!

Even cooler, the search results say when the book was published AND when it takes place. So whether you're looking for a travelogue from the 1930s or a contemporary historical novel set in the 1930s, this could be the site for you.

(This thrills my inner adolescent so hard. I went through a phase when I only read Young Adult books set in England. Remember Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging? Oh lord.)

2. The absolutely incredible map collage work of Matthew Cusick.

Found here.

3. Travel with your tastebuds.

I adore the Globetrotter Diaries, where two bloggers cook up dishes from around the world every week. What a great way to beat the wanderlust blues! Not to mention so many of these meals look fresh and perfect for summer.

I hope everyone has a grrrreeaat next few days. I'll spend the long holiday weekend grilling, baking, biking, picking fruit, and relaxing, I should hope! I'll be back next week. xo!

(P.S. Speaking of food and travel - the New York Times has once again named Durham a fabulous foodie town to visit. Town pride!)
